Major Airport Crowned ‘UFO Hotspot’ After Countless Strange Sightings

A number of articles published on Monday labeled Britain's main airport a “UFO hotspot” after a spate of bizarre sightings over the past six years.

There have been around 27 reports of strange UFOs/UAPs around Stansted Airport in the UK over the past six years. according to to the Daily Star. Some of these sightings have reportedly been classified as “near misses” as mysterious objects fly over this crowded facility. Back in 2022, a Ryanair plane was nearly hit by something that wasn't visible on drone monitoring equipment, but managed to reach an altitude of about 4,000 feet, the newspaper reported.

Former MOD Secretary Nick Pope said: “These fascinating revelations show that no matter what you think about UFOs, there are credible and serious flight safety issues involved.” said Nick Pope, former Secretary of Defense. “When an object passes within 20 seconds” [meters] In the case of aircraft, this is a very close call by anyone's definition. This, and other incidents revealed in this FOI response, show that the Ministry of Defense was wrong to close the UFO investigation. [program] The end of 2009 suggests it is time to reverse this policy. ”

In another instance, several aircraft were lining up to land on Stansted's Runway 22 when they reported objects around the aircraft, some 500 feet below, an Essex Police report said. The Daily Star reported. The plane's Traffic Collision Avoidance System (TCAS) reportedly detected the object, but none of the pilots saw anything in the sky, the report added. Whether these events are disparate should not concern those hired to investigate these cases. Stansted Airport reportedly serves around 27 million passengers a year, so anything flying near planes has to be addressed.

“Even if people are skeptical and think this is just drone activity, while drones can be flown as a hobby or by surveyors, they can also be used for espionage and terrorist activities. “In any case, especially on busy flight paths, you need to identify all objects in the airspace,” Pope said, according to the Daily Star. He also reportedly claimed that here in the US we seem to take issues like this very seriously (although the recent UFO/UAP bill was a total joke). Mr Pope added that investigations of these incidents in the UK need to be given the same level of care in order to “mitigate” the potential threat, according to the report.
