Mama Burger in Flagstaff reopens as Mama B’s with new menu, remodel

Mama Burger, one of the Flagstaff community's beloved restaurants, reopened on March 6, and patrons are celebrating the long-awaited reopening on social media.

The reopening includes a major renovation to the Fort Valley Road and North Kendrick Street location, as well as a name change to Mama B's. The restaurant will be open for dinner from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. daily through June.

This hamburger restaurant has been closed since the end of July 2022. The Arizona Daily Sun reported. There were a variety of reasons why the restaurant closed for an extended period of time, including weather and reconsidering renovation plans.

The menu has been remade, but also includes the fan-favorite Mutha Of All Burgers, a Mama B tradition. Vehicles that did not make the cut included the Blue Vader, 66er, and Kahuna. But at Mama B's, we're featuring Burger of the Month, where these popular burgers may be making a comeback.

When they announced the return of the original Mama Burger, many fans and patrons rejoiced online.

One said: “I've missed this place so much! I can't wait for the new chapter to unfold.” Another commented: “I've been waiting my whole life for this day to come, yikes.”

In an interview with the Arizona Daily Sun, co-owner Bernadette Chavez said, “It's great to see how much this community values ​​us and the food we make and feed Flagstaff. That's kind of surprising in a way.”
