Man Accused of Shooting Pasco Police Officer Formally Charged

(Richland, Wash.) — A man charged with shooting an approaching police officer, Pasco, while his vehicle was stopped at a convenience store near Highway 395 and West Court Street, was charged in connection with the matter shortly after. was fast tracked to. David Ramos-Galvez opened fire on approaching police officers back on Friday, March 24, leading police in a chase that ended on Road 64 and Argent Road. was taken into custody after being shot by a Benton County Sheriff’s Deputy. Franklin County prosecutors have charged two counts of attempted first-degree murder (RCW 9A.28.020(1) and (A.32.030(1)(a)) and one count of attempted escape from a police vehicle being pursued. Indicted for count and issued warrant (RCW 46.61.024).

A warrant was issued in the case because Ramos Galvez was out of prison and in a local hospital for treatment after he was shot. SIU said he is in stable condition. Ramos Galvez is expected to face jail time once he is medically acquitted.
