TUCSON, Arizona (KGUN) — The Arizona Department of Public Safety responded to a call from a man impersonating a police officer on Interstate 17.
The incident occurred Monday, June 19, near Milepost 317 on Interstate 17 south of Flagstaff.
After a minor street assault incident, the suspect and victim both stopped at the exit ramp.
The suspect then approached the victim’s vehicle with a pistol in his holstered right hand.
During the exchange, the suspect threatened the victim with imprisonment for obstruction, saying he was a police officer and an undercover agent responding to 911 calls.
After the victim demanded to see the suspect’s badge, the suspect returned to his car and drove away.
AZDPS identified the suspect as Sean E. Osborne, 55.
Osborne was arrested on June 20 and placed in the Coconino County Jail and charged with impersonating a peace officer, possession of a weapon for criminal conduct, disorderly conduct with a firearm, assault, intimidation or intimidation. was done.
