Fort Mojave – Mojave County Sheriff’s Department detectives arrested 35-year-old Jonathan Thomas Prescott of Fort Mojave on one felony count of sexual misconduct for allegedly sexually abusing his stepdaughter bottom.

On April 12, a representative addressed Valle View Medical Center in Mohave Valley about a possible sex crime. News from MCSO Upon arrival, they contacted her 18-year-old victim and her mother, according to his release. Her mother advised that she was at the hospital to perform a pregnancy test.

Law enforcement reported that the victim told her mother that the baby’s father was her stepfather, Prescott, after telling her she might be pregnant. The man told his mother that Prescott had had sexual contact with her since she was 13.

The victim’s mother allegedly found several inappropriate photos of her daughter on one of Prescott’s online accounts. Her mother advised that Prescott was aware that the victim was autistic and had multiple learning disabilities.Detectives spoke with the victim and reported information from her mother. It was confirmed.

Prescott was arrested without incident and placed in an adult holding facility in Mojave County. This investigation is ongoing.
