Lake Havasu City – Mojave County Sheriff’s Department agents have arrested 61-year-old John Gideon Branch of Lake Havasu City on felony and misdemeanor reckless driving charges for failing to register as a sex offender.

An agent said he implemented a traffic stop in the area of ​​Highway 95 and Paro Verde Street and made contact with the vehicle’s driver and sole occupant, identified as Branch.

While doing a record check, Branch got out of the car and started emptying his pockets on the ground. The branch was taken into custody and placed in the lieutenant’s car. A completed record check revealed Branch to be a registered sex offender who had not complied with registration requirements.

Branch was arrested and transferred without incident to adult detention facilities in Mojave County on the above charges.
