BULLHEAD CITY (KTNV) — An Arizona man has been arrested and charged in a fatal hit-and-run accident in Bullhead City.

Bullhead Police said the incident occurred on Highway 95 near Riverview Drive.

Police said they received a call about a pedestrian being hit by a vehicle around 6:46 p.m. Friday. The man suffered serious injuries and was taken to the Western Arizona Regional Medical Center. After being diagnosed there, medical personnel called an ambulance and transported the man to Las Vegas, where he died of his injuries.

Investigators said they were able to track the vehicle to 2,500 blocks of Bonita Street in Bullhead City and arrested 23-year-old Aidy Lewis for failing to remain at the scene.

Police said the vehicle was seized as evidence while Ruiz was taken to the Bullhead Police Department for proceedings and was transferred to the Mojave County Adult Detention Center to be documented.

No further details were announced as of Monday morning.
