Police were called on Oct. 1 after a man was seen putting an unresponsive woman into his car. Almost three weeks later, a suspect was taken into custody.
FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. — A man has been arrested in connection with the death of a woman in Flagstaff on Oct. 1.
Samuel Lee, 38, of Ganado, was arrested on Oct. 18 on suspicion of second-degree murder, according to Flagstaff police.
On October 1, around 3 p.m., officers were dispatched to the area of Beulah Boulevard and West Plummer Avenue after a witness reported a man placing an unresponsive woman in his vehicle.
Officers located the vehicle on South Milton Road and found an unresponsive woman. Despite lifesaving efforts, she was pronounced dead at the scene. She was later identified as Sandy Singer, 38, of Tonalea.
Lee was booked into the Coconino County Jail on charges of second-degree murder and sexual assault and is currently awaiting his next court appearance.
