Flagstaff, Arizona – Police-Involved Crash Results in Fatality

A man lost his life in a collision involving a police officer in northern Arizona on Saturday morning.

The incident occurred around 7:30 a.m. when officials from Flagstaff Police were involved in a crash on Butler Avenue near Sinagua Heights, according to police reports.

Details surrounding the cause of the crash remain unclear, but first responders provided emergency medical assistance to both the officers involved and other drivers.

While the officers were transported to Flagstaff Medical Center for treatment, the other drivers were pronounced dead at the scene. Fortunately, the officer has since been released from the hospital.

The Arizona Department of Public Safety (AZDPS) has been asked to conduct an investigation into the crash, alongside an internal review by the Flagstaff Police Specialist Standard Unit.

This ongoing investigation aims to uncover the circumstances and contributing factors related to the incident.
