Man Drives Semi-Truck Into Strip Club After Being Kicked Out, Leaving One Dead And Two Injured

On Tuesday, a man was chased out of a Florida gentlemen's club and drove a large truck into the club, killing one person and injuring two.

Officers responded to the scene of a truck-versus-pedestrian accident in the parking lot of Emperor's Gentlemen's Club in Tampa, Florida, at approximately 4:19 AM. According to Tampa Police Department press release.

Police responded to find a truck crashing head-on into the building's entrance, and witnesses said the man driving the tractor-trailer had been chased out of the club prior to the incident. (Related article: Strip club manager allegedly drugged, filmed and robbed customers).

The driver “then returned and drove the truck into a group of people standing at the entrance,” according to the press release.

Police said one adult male was killed and two males were injured in the crash, both of whom are expected to survive.

Authorities said the driver of the lorry was taken into custody and remains hospitalized in critical but stable condition. Police have not released the driver's name or the charges against him. “Charges will be announced shortly,” authorities said.

“This was an incredibly tragic and completely avoidable incident,” Tampa Police Chief Lee Berkow said in a press release. “We will work to ensure justice is achieved for the victim and her family. Our thoughts are with all those affected, including the innocent bystanders who witnessed this horrific event.”

In April 2022, a man driving an SUV crashed into a wall at a gentlemen's club in Detroit, Michigan. According to Security camera footage shows the driver repeatedly trying to run the car into the building's brick wall, according to Fox 2.

The media outlet reported that the incident caused more than $7,000 in damages, and the club's manager told Fox 2 they believe the incident was “intentional and malicious.”
