Officials informed the wife that the couple had been navigating the area when their jeep malfunctioned, and the man indicated they were heading into town to seek assistance.
Bumblebee, Ariz. – The Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office reported that a man and his wife went missing for two days in the wilderness after their jeep broke down close to Bumblebee.
After spending a night in the jeep, the woman managed to reach out to her family the next morning. They searched for the man but were unable to find him, so they contacted the sheriff’s office for help.
A statement from the sheriff’s office mentioned, “The team searched overnight during the storm but couldn’t locate him. The following morning, when the skies cleared, a DPS Ranger helicopter was able to fly over the area.”
Officials stated that the ranger discovered the man around 7 a.m. that morning and brought him to safety.
After enduring two nights outdoors, he was taken to the hospital for evaluation, according to officials.
