Officials said an investigation into the man’s death is underway and will be coordinated with the Coconino County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Grand Canyon Village, Arizona — Crews recovered the body of a man from Grand Canyon earlier this week, authorities said.
Park officials said an authorities said a 20-year-old California man was found 1,000 feet below the rim. His name has not been released.

The man’s body was found around 8am on February 10th after reports of broken rock walls and scattered fragments of a car.
An air search began and the crew found the man and his car from the air. The team was then sent to recover the men.
Officials said an investigation into the man’s death is underway and will be coordinated with the Coconino County Medical Examiner’s Office.
