A man has been convicted of stealing items from Home Depot and reselling them, and was ordered to serve prison time and pay restitution, according to the Maricopa County Prosecutor's Office.
Juan Ambriz Rincon pleaded guilty in April to five felony counts, including organized retail theft, trafficking in stolen property and possession of dangerous drugs, and was sentenced to three and a half years in prison and ordered to pay $300,000 in restitution. His sentence is set for June 11, according to court documents.
“This significant restitution combined with prison time sends a message to offenders that Maricopa County is not a place where they can get away with committing these types of crimes,” Maricopa County Attorney Rachel Mitchell said in a news release Thursday.
