Around 7:30 a.m. on January 28, Solvelo set off an explosive charge outside a woman’s home on the 100th block of S. Fallbrook Avenue and returned to Arizona, Foley said.

No one was injured, but residents near Borchard and Reino streets said they were shaken by the shock of breakfast time.

“It was a pretty good boom,” said Foley. “It was captured on one of the neighborhood Ring cameras, shaking the camera and setting off car alarms.”

An investigation into the source of the explosion led authorities to Solbello’s ex-girlfriend, who told police he had been stalking her for the past two years.

After presenting evidence to a judge, investigators obtained a $100,000 arrest warrant for Solvelo on January 30. He was arrested two weeks after him near his home in Santan, Arizona, an hour away from Phoenix.

Sorbello is scheduled to be asked in an Arizona court on Friday whether he opposes extradition to Ventura County, Foley said.

“Realistically, he’ll come here. It depends on how long it’s going to be,” Foley said.

If convicted of two felonies, Sorbello faces a prison sentence.
