A cougar attacked a man at a ski resort outside Beaver Mountain, Utah, on Sunday, but the man fought it off with a snowboard.
According to KSL, Charlie Duffy was walking outside the resort boundaries with his snowboard when he noticed large cat footprints in the snow. report. After a while, disturbed by the footprints, I looked over my shoulder and saw a mountain lion five or six feet away. The cat then jumped on him, the report said.

“My fight response immediately kicked in, I grabbed the board with my right hand and swung as hard as I could at the jumping mountain lion,” Duffy said. he said in an Instagram post.. “It barely grazed my neck with its claws and knocked me to the ground. The mountain lion got up and started running back towards me.”
Duffy noticed that the mountain lion appeared to be “starved and wounded from blows.”

A photo posted on Instagram shows Duffy's torn jacket after being attacked by a cougar. After posting on Instagram, snowboarding brands Nitro and 686 promised to send him new gear.
“Insane! We have to send a new board!!! I'm glad you're okay,” Nitro Snowboards commented.
“Insane. I'll fix it,” 686 wrote.
