Man who ran over and killed his father gets a 16 year sentence | Kingman Daily Miner

GOLDEN VALLEY – A Fort Mojave man who deliberately ran over and killed his father appeared in Mojave County Superior Court on Friday to hand down his sentence. In a plea bargain, the 23-year-old was found guilty of second-degree murder to Isaiha Caril-Hill.

“I want to apologize to my mother,” Caryl Hill told the court, adding her uncle, aunt, and the whole family to her apology list. He explained that he was under the influence of, delusional and delusional.

Authorities reported that the victim, Lester Caril, 68, was driving a black SUV and pulled over after an argument and erratic behavior by his son. Defendant got behind the wheel and ran over the father at block 7900 of Highway 68 in Golden Valley.

Caril-Hill drove off, but crashed the SUV about five minutes later. He was detained and imprisoned, but never mentioned his father, whose body was not found until 15 hours after he was beaten.

“This is really hard for me,” Leon Carril, the brother of the victim and uncle of the defendant, said, “I hope he (Carril Hill) gets the best treatment he can get. “

Other family members also hope Caryl Hill can overcome her substance abuse demons while incarcerated.

“I love you,” said my brother. “I hope you get drugs, alcohol, and treatment for your anger while you’re there.”

Superior Court of Mojave Judge Derek Carlisle pointed to the conflict in a family mourning the loss at the hands of another loved one.

Judge Carlyle sentenced him to 16 years in prison.
