The Seattle Mariners are completely out of control, losing eight of their last nine games, mostly due to a lack of offense. As a result, they decided to fire manager Scott Servais on Thursday, the team said. ESPN.

Seattle held a 10-game lead in the AL West at one point this season, but has since gone 20-33. They are currently five games behind the Houston Astros and have a .500 winning percentage, but that's their first time doing so since April 14.
Servais is 680-642 He will lead the Mariners to the playoffs in 2022, the most ever by a manager.

Servais should be grateful he's lasted this long in Seattle.
Hell, if I were the owner or general manager of the Mariners, I would have fired him in 2019. That season Seattle went a dismal 68-94 after nearly making the playoffs the season before. I wouldn't have been able to handle that setback.
Overall, he didn't perform too badly in Seattle, but that would never have been the case under my leadership, and as you can see, the zero championship success proved me right.
