Manufacture Alabama promotes Ricks, Salazar to leadership roles


Manufacturer Alabama, the state's only trade association dedicated to all regulatory, operational and competitive interests of manufacturers, has announced that two senior-level leadership positions will be filled within its ranks.

Robin Ricks, who previously served as the organization's director of special programs and workforce development, will become vice president of policy and advocacy.

Amanda Salazar was previously Director of Member Engagement and is currently Vice President of Communications and Membership.

“Robin and Amanda both play a critical role in the success of manufacturing in our great state,” said John Bergagna, president and CEO of Manufacture Alabama. Stated. “I am confident that their contributions will support our continued efforts and commitment to making Alabama a place where manufacturing continues to thrive. It’s a testament to a culture of excellence.”

Prior to joining Manufacture Alabama in 2019, Ricks held talent acquisition and human resources positions in the manufacturing sector. Since its inception, she has managed the association's policy and committee work.

In his new role, he will advocate for Manufacturer Alabama's policy initiatives, support the interests of the manufacturing sector, and drive positive change within the industry. Ms. Ricks will also continue in her role as Executive Director of Girls Learning About Manufacturing, Inc.

Mr. Salazar also began working for Manufacture Alabama in 2019. Since joining the organization, he has played a major role in membership growth and helped set records for attendance at events hosted by the organization. In her new role, she will lead efforts to strengthen the association's internal and external communications, drive membership recruitment, and increase overall engagement with members.
