Maricopa man sentenced to 10 years after tweeting explicit material involving children

A Maricopa man arrested in June was sentenced to 10 years in prison for possessing illegal photographs of minors, according to the Pinal County Attorney’s Office.

On February 27, Azeri Hanson, 22, was charged with two counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, dangerous crime against a child, two counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, and a preliminary dangerous child charge. He is currently facing 10 years in prison at the Arizona Department of Corrections, after which he is on life probation.

In 2021, the Department of Homeland Security launched an online investigation of Internet users suspected of uploading files containing child sexual abuse material to the Internet. Investigators were also able to find her Twitter account posting explicit content on the platform.

According to the PCAO, in March 2022, the IP address used to share the image was identified as being from Hanson’s residence on West Rio Bravo Drive in Rancho El Dorado.

On June 16, 2022, HSI and Maricopa Police worked together to complete a search warrant for the Rancho El Dorado residence where Hanson was arrested, Maricopa Police reported. During a raid, HSI found her 48 blue M30 pills and various other drug-related paraphernalia and turned them over to the Maricopa Police Department.
