MARICOPA COUNTY, Ariz. — The Maricopa region is receiving a major influx of more than $46.5 million in federal funding to strengthen local social services and anti-homelessness programs. Maricopa Government Association It was announced on Monday.

In January, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development announced its latest round of grants. In the Maricopa region, 33 local homelessness programs were awarded $46,542,337 in funding.
Twenty-six of these programs provide housing and services to people and families experiencing homelessness.
“This award represents a nearly 30% increase over last year and will provide additional housing and services to people experiencing homelessness in the Maricopa area,” said Maricopa Care Continuity Co-Chairman. Rachel Milne said. “All of our Tier 1 and Tier 2 projects will be funded. This is great news for those in need, homeless service providers and our communities.”
