It might be time to start thinking about dusting off your favorite cowboy boots.
That's because Maricopa city planners plan to formally introduce Duke's Roadhouse to the Planning and Zoning Commission. During the meeting on February 26th. The restaurant and bar is located on the site of the former A1 pawn shop at Maricopa and Edwards streets in the city's Heritage District, and is expected to become a future nightlife destination.
City Planner Derek Scherer said the presentation will only include a review of plans already submitted to the city in preparation for issuance of a development review permit.
The developer received a demolition permit in November, but a development review is required to ensure the intended construction meets city code requirements.
In August, Inmaricopa We have highlighted some of the plans and artwork that will be featured in the presentation. This includes a review of the site, floors, landscaping, photometric plans, and elevations. This included information that the 7,800 square foot venue will include an enclosed front canopy, outdoor patio seating, a large bar and a dance floor.
