Maricopa zoning board to take action on Lowe’s

The Maricopa Planning and Zoning Commission There are several upcoming development projects During the first meeting of the year.

After discussion, the board will pass the item to the Maricopa City Council for approval at a later date.

Would you like to make your opinion known about the following agenda items or other developments in town? The meeting will be held at 6 p.m. in the chambers of Maricopa City Hall. An appeal to the people is one of the first items on the agenda.

Hartman Trails Subdivision

One of the first items to be discussed is preliminary plans for the proposed Hartman Trails subdivision at the southwest corner of Anderson Road and Steen Road. Preparatory drawings provide a preliminary design plan well before construction begins.

The subdivision proposed 1,037 lots on 308 acres, with housing built in three phases. Elevations and blueprints of the house were not available.

Amenities include multiple parks, pickleball courts, basketball courts, and outdoor exercise trails.

Rancho El Dorado cell phone tower

The board will also hold a public hearing to discuss a Verizon cell tower that will be located just west of Rancho El Dorado Golf Course. The 64-foot-tall tower will be designed and painted to look like a giant cylindrical tree.

Gilbert-based developer Pinnacle Consulting said the project is “essential to supporting the rapidly growing wireless network demands of the Maricopa area.”

Lowe's permit examination

Finally, the Zoning Commission will discuss a major development review permit for a Lowe's Home Center planned for John Wayne Parkway and Honeycutt Avenue. Inmaricopa The company previously shared its views on elevation and site planning when it filed an expression of interest to expand into Maricopa in November.
