At this point, I think it's safe to assume that Spencer Dinwiddie will never be a Dallas Maverick again.
At this season's trade deadline, point guard spencer dinwiddie He was traded from the Brooklyn Nets to the Toronto Raptors, and was ultimately waived and signed by the Los Angeles Lakers. Well, this past weekend he sent flowers to the Southern California franchise and praised them for having a “winning culture.”
“Let's say you were a kid and a bully hit you on the butt. Dallas, like your mom, would say, 'It's okay, baby.' β¦The Lakers are like your dad. “No, you better go out and fight 'til you win,” Dinwiddie said.
Those of you who know Mark Cuban as much as we do, already know that he was going to respond, and he responded brilliantly. (Related: 'Keep your mouth moving': Pat McAfee slams Bill Simmons for losing Super Bowl)
Cuban, who is now a minority owner of the Mavericks, was clearly triggered by Dinwiddie's comments on Instagram on Monday, which cast a deep shadow on him.
Cuban posted a photo of his son wearing an old Spencer Dinwiddie Mavericks jersey.
Dinwiddie's name was covered in tape with the word “Gaff” written on his back, and his number 26 was changed to 21.
“IYKYK (If you know, if you know),” Cuban captioned it, making the post even more questionable.
