More glory for 305.
The Miami Marlins and Toronto Blue Jays played on Monday night. Luis Araez Fish went 5-for-5 and pushed his batting average to .400. The Marlins won the game 11-0.
It’s the second time Araez has gone 5-for-5 in his last three games. While that may not sound impressive enough, Arraez is actually just 4th major leaguer Since 1900, he has had five hits in three games in a month, according to the Elias Sports Bureau. He joined historic Hall of Famers George Sisler (August 1921), Ty Cobb (July 1922) and Dave Winfield (June 1984).
Araez could also become the first player since 1900 to have five hits in four games in a month, with 11 days to go. If he achieves that feat, he will join Cobb (1922), Stan Musial (1948), Tony Gwynn (1993) and Ichiro Suzuki (2004).
You just witnessed history.

Man, what Luis Araez is doing this year is crazy. Man, the Marlins are going crazy this year.
As a kid, I was a big fan of the Atlanta Braves, but now that I’m older and my relationship with Miami has deepened, both the Braves and the Marlins are my favorite teams. So seeing them both running the show eastern north carolinaso cool.
Please check the numbers.
East North Carolina:
- Atlanta Braves (46-26)
- Miami Marlins (42-31)
And people are starting to realize that
hey you Check out the well-deserved hype Skip Shoemaker is creating for this show. @marlins. 👀 if it wasn’t for the control of @Braves, these boys would sit a respectable number one in the National League East. And they are the No. 1 wildcard team in the National League. #make it miami
