Marlon Wayans took to social media on Thursday to speak out about the robbery that took place at his Los Angeles home.
Wayans spoke about the robbery that happened at his home in a video he shared on Instagram, with humor and calm, and reassured concerned fans and friends who reached out to him after Saturday's incident, assuring them that he and everyone else was OK. videoWayans humorously downplayed the value of his possessions.
“I want you to know that they really didn't get much because I don't have anything,” he said in the video. “The most valuable thing in my house is my house, so unless you're going to put that on a truck and take it away, well, well done, but I don't have anything. I don't wear jewelry. [ring] It's fake. … It's a heart rate monitor.”

Wayans further commented on his lifestyle in the video's caption, noting that he lives a humble life with two cats and an old 1994 Range Rover, and jokingly warned potential burglars not to target his home.
“Burglars don't break into your home and waste your energy and your life. The situation is too heavy,” he wrote.

News of the break-in first broke report According to TMZ, Wayans' home is the latest in a string of burglaries in the area. Wayans was not home at the time of the robbery, but his brother, Keane Ivory Wayans, was. Keane said he heard a noise during the incident but didn't realize the robbery was happening and went back to sleep afterwards.
