Martha MacCallum Laughs Out Loud After Seeing Cory Booker’s Senate Outburst

McCallum Critiques Booker on Handling of Trump

On Wednesday, Fox News host Martha McCallum expressed her amusement after Democrat Senator Cory Booker spoke in New Jersey on Tuesday, where she later criticized his party’s approach to dealing with President Donald Trump.

During the Senate session, Booker, alongside Democratic Senators Amy Klobuchar from Minnesota and Catherine Cortez Masto from Nevada, as well as Republican Senator Chuck Grassley, voiced opposition to the law. McCallum found herself on air after co-host Harris Faulkner sought her perspective.

“That’s outrageous. Klobuchar seems to say, ‘If someone can’t adjust their schedule, I can’t assist.’ Then, he claims, ‘I was in a conflict,’” she remarked.

“Wait, are you not a senator? Isn’t it crucial to fulfill your duties and show up for this vote?” McCallum continued, pointing out that there seems to be a lack of clarity among them. “Corey Booker was an impressive young mayor of Newark, focused on reducing crime in the area.”

Booker had previously gained attention for delivering over 25 hours of commentary on Trump’s policies in May, leading to a book deal. He famously referred to himself as “Spartacus,” referencing the gladiator, during a 2018 Supreme Court confirmation hearing for Justice Brett Kavanaugh.

“From Spartacus to this performance, I think he really enjoys the spotlight,” McCallum commented.
