Maryland Governor Wes Moore Filmed Shotgunning Beer Prior To Ravens-Chiefs Game

Maryland Democratic Gov. Wes Moore appeared to shotgun a beer Sunday during a tailgating event before the game between the Baltimore Ravens and the Kansas City Chiefs, video footage showed.

Video posted to X (formerly Twitter) showed the 45-year-old Maryland governor participating in a tailgate event to support the state's home team, the Baltimore Ravens. The video, posted by Baltimore Banner Sports, shows Moore surrounded by a group of Ravens fans wearing Ravens uniforms, then shotgunning drinks together. “We do this for the best fucking team this planet has ever produced, the Baltimore Ravens,” one member of the group shouted, as the others cheered.

Moore celebrated with Ravens fans outside and inside M&T Bank Stadium in downtown Baltimore and was seen posting on social media throughout the day.

Fans cheering during today's walk — let's go, @Ravens!'' Moore tweeted as he stood with a group in what appeared to be a parking lot.

During the game, Moore posted:MVP goes to Zai! Let's go, 7-7, it's game time! #RavensFlock” to X.

Moore was elected governor in 2022 after serving as a former Army captain in the 82nd Airborne Division. The Baltimore Ravens were scheduled to play the Kansas City Chiefs at home in the AFC Championship Game, which will determine who will represent the conference in the Super Bowl, scheduled for February 11th.
