Matt McCarthy and Logan Williams Perris Auto Speedway Results

The Flow Dynamics racing duo of Matt McCarthy and Logan Williams made their debut when Perris Auto Speedway hosted 2023.th Annual “Sokola Shootout” last Saturday night. The race was the third round of his USAC/CRA Series campaign and the first race of the year at the track closest to Flow Dynamics headquarters in Ontario, California.

2017 USAC/CRA ‘Rookie of the Year’, 2014 ‘Rookie of the Year’ and 2013 PAS Young Guns Sprint Car Champion Williams, McCarthy’s last appearance on the track was The prestigious Oval Nationals four and a half months ago. The team hasn’t been on track since then, but it hasn’t rested on its laurels. Over the winter, the crew took the car apart and combed through it in preparation for 2023. Additionally, new parts and consumables have been ordered to ensure we have a good backup for the new year.

Things started off well enough for the favorite driver in qualifying. McCarthy, who lives in nearby Riverside, California, started the year as the eighth-fastest driver out of 25, posting 16.749 his laps. California’s Williams’ Yorba Linda was just one tick behind at 16.812. It was the 10th fastest time.

The Flowdynamics duo took on seven other drivers in the first ten-lap heat race at the famous Riverside County half-mile oval. McCarthy finished fifth after putting pressure on the fourth-placed driver for the entire distance. Williams finished seventh, far behind his teammate.

Expectations were high for the team to move up to the main.McCarthy was coming from 10th Spot and Williams start at 13thUnfortunately, Williams dropped out of the race after just 16 laps.result was 22nd– Placement finish.McCarthy had to restart from behind after a tangle with another car and ended up 15thth.

After an annual outing, McCarthy turned 21st In championship standings, Williams is 25thBoth made the top 10 last year. He is looking to move up the order of the series starting next week at his Valley Raceway in Mojave, Arizona.

This week, Flow Dynamics drivers were scheduled to compete in Central California on Friday and Saturday. Friday was scheduled to take place at Hanford’s Kings Speedway. Saturday’s scheduled date kicked off at Tulair’s Thunderbowl his raceway. However, persistent heavy rain forced the cancellation of last week’s Tulea race. When that race was lost, Kings Speedway moved its show from Friday to Saturday. The hope was that moving the race by a day would give the track more time to dry. The show was also forced to cancel.

McCarthy and Williams to resume activities on April 1st At Mojave Valley Raceway in Arizona.That event will be followed by a race on April 15thth April 22nd at Perrisnd Tulare, and 29 Aprilth On the dirt track at Kern County Raceway Park in Bakersfield.
