Mattel’s ‘Wicked’ Doll Packaging Reportedly Links To Porn Site

According to Consequence, American multinational toy manufacturer Mattel apparently overlooked an X-rated error on the packaging of the Wicked dolls before they hit stores.

Social media users noticed that many doll boxes in retail stores contained the mismatched web address of the porn site “Wicked” instead of the correct “.”WickedMovie.com

“Hey @Mattel, whoever is in charge of marketing/packaging the new official Wicked doll made a huge mistake!” I wrote referring to the incorrect web address printed above.

“LOL — If you buy your little girl a ‘Wicked’ doll, under no circumstances should she go to the website printed on the back of the box.” X user @BryanPassifiume I wrote.

“Oh my god, Mattel accidentally wrote “Wicked.com” (pornographic site) instead of “WickedMovie.com” (official site) on the box of the Wicked Movie doll. And it seems to be in most boxes in the assortment (I just checked on eBay)” X User TheVallyD I wrote.

As of Sunday morning, Mattel had not yet announced a recall for its “Wicked” movie dolls. (Related: Customer reaction to major retailer selling candles believed to be affiliated with hate group)

“Whoever made the packaging for Mattel’s Wicked Dolls is cooked” X user @jorybei I wrote.

“Wicked” is an adaptation of the popular Broadway musical about Elphaba, the green-skinned Wicked Witch of the West, and her unlikely friend Glinda, the Good Witch of the South. The musical is based on L. Frank Baum’s 1900 book The Wizard of Oz and the 1939 film adaptation of The Wizard of Oz.

At the time of publication, the affected products appear to be limited to Mattel’s Elphaba and Glinda doll boxes.

Actress and singer Ariana Grande played Glinda, and actress and singer Cynthia Elvio played Elphaba.

The new film “Wicked” will be released in U.S. theaters on November 22, 2024.

The Daily Caller has reached out to Mattel for comment.
