Max Power Mining Corporation
VANCOUVER, British Columbia, May 4, 2023 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — MAX Power Mining Corp. (CSE: MAXX) (OTC: MAXXF) (“MAX Power” or the “Company”) announced the has commenced exploration in 2023. His Willcox Playa project in Arizona, 200 miles southeast of Arizona (see news release April 28, 2023). About 50 square miles of playa in Cochise County are believed to have very likely concentrations of lithium in both claystone and saltwater.
highlight:
- Hybrid Source Audio-Magnetic Telluric (HSAMT) surveys and gravity surveys are being conducted across MAX’s land package covering 3,754 acres.
- The United States Geological Survey (USGS) reports that previous geophysical surveys identified a low-gravity dual anomaly that overlaps with an electromagnetic high-conductivity anomaly in the air. Low gravity delineates a thick zone of relatively low density rock, while electromagnetic height indicates the presence of lithium-bearing metal beneath the Wilcox playa.
- The MAX program has three main goals. 1) Mapping the thickness of the deposit target zone. 2) Map the geological structure to identify conductors within the site. 3) Prioritize targets for future drilling.
Peter Lauder, Senior Geologist and Exploration Manager at MAX, commented:
The Gravity and HSAMT programs consist of a grid with 500 meter intervals and are conducted by Hasbrouck Geophysics.
Based in Arizona, Hasbrouck has extensive experience in both research and data processing of saline watershed environments in the southwestern United States.
