After a three-year hiatus due to the COVID pandemic, the Yuma Air Show is scheduled to fly tomorrow morning.

On Saturday, our Yuma skies will once again be filled with daring pilots performing extreme maneuvers over our community.
“We started an air show here at Marine Corps Air Station Yuma in 1962 and have had about 57 air shows since then, so this is a long-standing tradition here at Yuma,” said an MCAS spokesperson. Chief Lieutenant Brett Vanier said.
The annual show had been canceled the previous year, but it was a priority for the base to start doing it again.
“Anyone local knows we haven’t had an air show since 2019. We’re so excited to open the gates and join the community,” said Captain Vannier.
The event attracts locals as well as visitors from all over the country who can go to the base and see the planes up close.
“It will be clear skies. Just be aware it’s loud and noisy in here, as you’re hearing right now. Good ear protection for small children and hearing sensitive people. MCCS Francis Armstrong, Commercial Sponsorship Coordinator, said:
