Tucker Carlson slammed Democrats who still wear COVID-era face masks during an interview with Daily Caller editor Vince Colianese on Monday.
Carlson, the Daily Caller co-founder, said the protesters outside the Democratic National Convention are “even crazier than the people inside” of the convention, which is being held at Chicago's United Center, noting that nearly all of the protesters in videos he's seen are wearing masks.
“The first thing you notice is that everyone outside is wearing a mask,” Carlson said. “I don't mean to be mean. Mental illness is real. They obviously have mental illness, but what's interesting is, I've never seen anyone like that in my life. Have you ever seen anyone outside wearing a mask?”

Corianese told Carlson that because he lives near Washington, D.C., he sees people wearing masks outdoors all the time. (RELATED: 'Everybody knows what's going on': Whistleblower tells Tucker Carlson's doctors 'feel trapped by Big Pharma')
“So I think there are some people who are nervous and some who have been fooled, especially by the left, who are still wearing the mask, right up to this day,” Corianese said.
“Do you know how bad it is for your health?” Carlson says. “That's why I want to smoke all the time.”
Collianese added that wearing a mask “shouldn't be good for your brain” because of the social isolation factor. He told Carlson that wearing a mask is “fundamentally” a political statement.
“In the end, I don't think it's all about health. Maybe they comfort themselves by saying that, but fundamentally it's a political gesture,” Coriannese said.
