BULLHEAD CITY – Law enforcement officials have reportedly seized half a pound of methamphetamine after chasing a man who allegedly fled cops from two agencies early Thursday morning.

Bullhead City Police spokeswoman Emily Fromert said the ordeal began at 2:00 a.m. when a Mojave County Sheriff’s Office agent found an expired registration near the intersection of Aztec Road and Highway 95 at Fort Mojave. Fromelt said the suspect, later identified as Nathan Lawrence, 41, evaded pursuit by agents and officials from the Ministry of Public Security.

She said about an hour after the incident began, the Mojave District General Drug Enforcement Administration helped locate Lawrence of Fort Mojave, where he was hiding at a friend’s house on the 4400 block of Viveza Avenue. rice field.

Frommert alleged that Lawrence was in possession of meth when he was arrested inside the house.

“He was also found to have been driving under the influence of drugs while recklessly evading law enforcement pursuit, including driving in oncoming traffic,” Frommert said.

Lawrence was initially charged with dangerous drug and DUI-related offenses. She said more charges could be added for the alleged felony flight.
