Meth Suspect Tells Cop That He Doesn’t Know Whose Pants These Are

Police in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, found meth and crack in a man who was driving when he shouldn’t have.

Cameron Ernest Bell, 62, pulled over in the middle of the intersection of Elmira Street and Hawthorne Avenue in front of several police officers on April 12, according to the Williamsport Police Department.

This was fine, except there were no stop signs or signals at the intersection. According to the affidavit, they knew who Bell was and also knew he had a suspended driver’s license.

Officer Andrew Stevens was on patrol and caught up with Bell nearly 300 blocks from Hawthorne. When he made contact with Bell, it was found that his eyes were bloodshot, his eyelids were drooping, and his speech was slurred during conversation.

Officer Stevens, who clearly showed signs of some impairment, was given a sobriety test, but Bell failed.

With a dab, they found a crack pipe in his pants pocket, a baggy of crack, and half an ounce of methamphetamine in his sock.

Of course, he “didn’t know” how the meth got into his socks and the pants weren’t his.

Bell refused to take a blood test, so he was taken into custody by Stevens and charged with intentional possession, possession of a controlled substance, a second DUI offense, and several summary traffic violations.

Bell is being held at the Lycoming County Jail in lieu of $75,000 bail. He is scheduled to appear before Judge Aaron He Vehicle on April 27 and stand trial.
