Michael Whatley named as the main speaker for the 2025 ALGOP Summer Dinner

Alabama GOP to Host Keynote Dinner with RNC Chair

On Wednesday, Alabama Republicans revealed that Michael Whatley, the Chairman of the Republican National Committee, will be the keynote speaker for their summer dinner in 2025. This event is scheduled for Friday, August 1, 2025, at the Renaissance Montgomery, located at 201 Tallapoosa Street, Montgomery, AL 36104.

The reception is set to begin at 6 PM, followed by dinner at 7 PM.

Whatley was re-elected as the 66th Chair of the RNC earlier this year. Under his leadership, which aligns with President Trump’s direction for the GOP during the 2024 election cycle, the party has reportedly improved its financial standing nationwide and aims to win back the White House.

Before his current role, Whatley chaired the North Carolina Republican Party. He has also held positions in the George W. Bush administration and was Chief of Staff for Senator Elizabeth Dole, along with serving on Trump’s transition team. The party noted his significant contributions to building a successful coalition across the country, linking it to a commitment to America’s first agenda.

John Wahl, the chairman of Algop, commended Whatley’s effective leadership and outlined his accomplishments. “Chairman Whatley is one of the most respected leaders in the Republican Party today. His guidance has been crucial for enhancing our national infrastructure and restoring public trust in the electoral system,” he stated.

Wahl also shared, “Chairman Whatley and I forged a friendship while working together as state chairs at the RNC, allowing for direct communication regarding regional needs crucial for victory.”

“We are excited to welcome him to Alabama for dinner this summer. His focus on strength, unity, and conservative principles comes at a critical moment for our nation,” he added.

The annual Algop Summer Dinner is expected to attract Republican leaders and activists from across Alabama.
