Michigan’s Jim Harbaugh Meeting With Los Angeles Chargers In First NFL Meeting: REPORT

Hollywood Harbaugh…sounds good.

As of now, it appears Michigan Wolverines head coach Jim Harbaugh is heading to the NFL and his service derby is taking shape. And it appears the Los Angeles Chargers are the first choice for the captaincy.

According to a report from ESPNThe Chargers become the first NFL franchise to hold talks with Harbaugh regarding a head coaching vacancy. (Related: University of Michigan's JJ McCarthy, Blake Collum declare for NFL Draft)

Other teams with openings include the Atlanta Falcons, Carolina Panthers, Las Vegas Raiders, Seattle Seahawks, Tennessee Titans and Washington Commanders.

Harbaugh, who previously coached in the NFL, has ties to the Chargers franchise and the Spanos family, which owns the team. As a player, he played for the Chargers in 1999 and 2000, retiring after the 2001 season.

The “Harbaugh x Herbert” relationship would definitely be sexy and very marketable, not just on the field.

There's “Hollywood Harbaugh” and “Hollywood Herbert,” all of which I've seen automatically get written down as we rack up both wins and hype. Hell, imagine them being Los Angeles royalty wearing classic white and black shirts and doing some “Hollywood Hogan x NWO” marketing gimmick. That would be very classic.

Los Angeles, you better not miss this. There's something great here.
