Midnight at the Oasis is back

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) – Hot rods and classic cars on the streets of Yuma can only mean one thing: Midnight at the Oasis is back.

Caballeros de Yuma opened its 31st annual Midnight at the Oasis Car Show here at Desert Sun Stadium on Friday, drawing about 1,000 classic cars, trucks and motorcycles from around the country.

For more than 30 years, the Desert Southwest's premier classic car show has been held the first weekend in March, sponsored by Caballeros de Yuma.

Captain Midnight invites the entire community to come and enjoy the concert, food and retail stores, and cars.

“The show starts here tonight. We have three bands playing tonight. The show goes on until about midnight and closes around 11:30 to 12:00. And all day tomorrow.” The raffle car is a 1977 Chevrolet It's a Corvette, tickets are only $20 and I'm going to call one lucky winner at Sunday brunch and give this car behind me,” said Midnight Captain Robert Brown.

Admission is $3 per person on Friday, $5 per person on Saturday, and $1 per person on Sunday.

Midnight at the Oasis will be held at Desert Sun Stadium throughout the weekend, with more concerts and classic cars.

It's never too late to get out and enjoy the fun.
