Tempo Music Investments is suing Miley Cyrus for copyright infringement of her hit song “Flowers.”
The lawsuit alleges that Cyrus copied Bruno Mars' song “When I Was Your Man” and claims they own part of the copyright. TMZTempo Music Investments claims that the harmony, melody and chorus of “Flowers” bear significant similarities to the Mars song, according to the media outlet. The company claims that “Flowers” has the same chord progression and some of the lyrics match those of Mars' song.

According to TMZ, newly filed court documents claim the extensive similarities are the result of Miley “intentionally copying” Mars' hit single.
Tempo Music Investments claims that Mars released the song 10 years before Cyrus, Winner He will win a Grammy in 2024 for his hit song “When I Was Your Man.” Reached Cyrus' song was at the top of the charts long before it was released.
“Based on the combination and number of similarities between the two recordings, it is undeniable that 'Flowers' would not exist without 'When I Was Your Man',” the legal documents state, according to TMZ.
Tempo Music reports that Mars' hit song was available not only to Miley, but also to her producing team and label.
According to TMZ, they are seeking a judgment banning her from performing or selling “Flowers” and are also seeking monetary damages.

Cyrus has not yet publicly commented on the matter on social media.
