Minors: Tatis keeps hitting with El Paso, Merrill looking for first hit with TinCaps

The 24-year-old had three more hits in a rehab challenge Tuesday in Triple-A El Paso. lost 13-12 Located in Southwest University Park.

Tatis played six innings in right field, singled three times, drove in a run, and scored once.

Tatis also hit a double in five games with the Chihuahuas. He’s 17-for-6 in that span (.353/.522/.588) with 1 home run, 3 RBIs and 6 walks.

Tatis is gearing up to return from her April 20th PED outage in Arizona.

Tatis’ replacement in the El Paso lineup, Luis Liberatohit his first three-run homer of the season, and the Chihuahuas hit four in the ninth inning. Matthew Batten (.867 OPS) and finished the game.

RBI double and left fielder in 5 at-bats Preston Tucker (1.236 OPS) went 2-for-4 with a triple, a walk, four RBIs and three runs scored.
