Miss America Contestant Files Restraining Order
Lindsey Langston, the winner of the 2024 Miss America contest, has taken the step of filing a restraining order against Corey Mills, a Republican representative from Florida. She accuses him of threatening to release a nude video of her.
Langston, who also serves as a Republican state commissioner for Columbia County, reported to officials at the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office on July 14 that Mills allegedly threatened her future romantic partner and shared explicit content involving her. It’s noteworthy that Mills is currently not facing any criminal charges, and his office stated they are unaware of any police reports related to the situation.
Langston claimed that since February 20, 2025, Mills had been in contact with various accounts, making threats about releasing nude photos and videos, including something he supposedly recorded of her. The situation escalated, leading to tensions in their relationship.
The two reportedly began their relationship in November 2021, after Mills was believed to be going through a difficult divorce. They spent time together in a beach house in New Smyrna, Florida, but Langston later learned that Mills was still technically married, as his divorce was finalized in the summer of 2024.
As detailed in various reports, their relationship soured quickly. Mills was noted to have been taking intimate photos with other women, and the holiday season was notably lonely for Langston. It seems their bond deteriorated further after an incident involving a cash transaction with a stranger.
Langston reportedly ended the relationship in February, particularly after learning of a police investigation into Mills concerning his alleged behavior toward another woman, Sarah Laviani, based in Washington, D.C.
There were further developments when Laviani sought law enforcement assistance but later retracted her claims about a physical altercation. Despite these ups and downs, Mills allegedly continued to contact Langston post-breakup, threatening repercussions for anyone linked to her.
“You might want to date, or at least be with someone else, but they need to understand that actions have consequences,” Mills allegedly stated. In another message, he indicated he could send her new partner some videos, which adds to the troubling nature of his messages.
Mills’s office responded to the allegations, claiming Langston’s lawyer, Anthony Sabatini, is trying to use the legal system for political gain. Sabatini had previously challenged Mills for a legislative seat but was not successful.
“These accusations do not accurately reflect my interactions. I stand by my integrity in serving Florida’s District 7,” Mills said in a release.
Sabatini has voiced concerns about how Mills is being treated by the legal system, suggesting that his status as a political figure is influencing the investigation. He emphasized that the alleged acts fall under Florida’s laws regarding sexual extortion.
