Missing Flagstaff woman case: Husband arrested, search continues

PHOENIX – The case of a missing Flagstaff woman took a turn Monday with the arrest of her husband, authorities said.

According to Flagstaff Police, Kelly Padukowski, 45, did not return home after going for a run and swim Sunday afternoon.

During the course of their investigation, police collated evidence that led to the arrest of her husband, 58-year-old Daniel Padukowski, on suspicion of aggravated assault. Police announced Authorities released a statement about the arrests Monday night but did not identify the victims or provide details about the evidence.

The search for Kelly Padukowski continues. The Flagstaff Police Department is working with the Coconino County Sheriff's Office Search and Rescue Team.

What do we know about Flagstaff's missing women case?

She was last seen around 1:30pm on Sunday, coming out of her West Flagstaff home wearing black shorts, a grey shirt and white running shoes.

According to police, her family reported her missing at 7:39 p.m.

Her car, a white Mazda CX-5, Campbell Mesa Trailhead.

Kelly Padukowski is described as 5 feet 8 inches tall, weighs 138 pounds, and has blonde hair and blue eyes.
