Republican Utah Senator Mitt Romney shared a bizarre video with his Twitter followers on Wednesday in which he gushed about his love of hot dogs.
Romney dealt with This video is for “everyone who celebrates” National Hot Dog Day, and apparently we are all (I didn’t get an email from staff about this). It’s clear that July 19th is a very special holiday in this great country, and Romney is clearly its biggest fan.
And it’s not just the basic dog-in-van scenario that drives Romney, it’s hot dogs of all kinds. In fact, hot dogs are his favorite meat (are hot dogs meat?) and he likes hot dogs in every way. Romney likes having his dog in the bun, outside the bun (how does that happen?), and even baked beans (inside the bun? On the side? He didn’t say).
“I just like hot dogs,” the Utah senator told anyone walking backwards with their cellphones as Romney delivered his “West Wing” rhetoric.
Happy National Hot Dog Day to all who celebrate! May more hot dogs be served in our wonderful land. ðŸŒðŸ‡ºðŸ‡¸ pic.twitter.com/McEnevvg8d

Personally, I never knew Romney (or the American public in general) was so into hot dogs. Maybe it’s because I wasn’t born in America, but in the nearly ten years I’ve lived here, I’ve never felt a special affinity for hot dogs. (Related: Who does this guy think he is TF?)
Sure, there are plenty of good dogs out there, but do you think burgers reign supreme in these lands? Either way, Mr. Romney’s video is strange. But I think it was also pretty harmless.
