In the eyes of his friends and family, he was a star both on and off the field.

“Sometimes they’re gone all of a sudden, and it doesn’t feel good at all.” Said Paul Law, Mizell’s father.
His parents said Lo hit his knee with a teammate during practice on July 22. After that, Mr. Lo went to the locker room, but after a few minutes his temperature reached 108 degrees Celsius and he had seizure-like symptoms.
Lo was hospitalized for about a week, but unfortunately did not recover.

Mizell’s parents, Paul and Yesenia Law, spoke about how much they loved him.
“His best friends said he was the only person in his age group to say ‘I love you,'” Paul said.
According to her parents, Mizell had a big heart and was a great friend.
After graduating from Blue Valley North High School, Law went to Nazareth in Central America to play soccer on an athletic scholarship. (Related: High school sports star Dalton Gaye dies suddenly at age 17)
After college, Law dreamed of working for ESPN and contributing to the community.
He was also preparing to launch a foundation called Gorilla Bear, which aims to financially help children with sports camps, uniforms and shoes.
“He was doing well, but he couldn’t make it to the end,” his father said.
