Investigations continue into the human remains found in the Yucca region late last year. The Mojave County Sheriff’s Office is now seeking public assistance in identifying victims.
The victim’s body was found on December 4 in the Alamo and Boriana Mine Road area of Yucca. When investigators arrived at the scene, the body, identified as an adult male estimated to be in his late 40s or early 50s, was found wrapped in a tarp. The victim’s height is said to be 72-76 inches and he weighs up to 220 pounds.
The body was taken to the Mojave County Coroner’s Office for an autopsy, but the victim’s identity remained unknown as of this week. Described as wearing a dark PFG (Professional Fishing Gear) T-shirt. The victim also wore blue jeans of size 39×34, a silver necklace, a silver ring and a silver watch.
Investigators said the victim also had a tattoo with the name “Chase” and the date May 13, indicating it was May 13. The year was also included in the victim’s tattoo, but was deemed illegible by investigators.
