Monday News & Notes from FutureTrack | Eventing Nation

How awesome is it to see some events draw huge numbers of attendees and manage to squeeze everyone in? We’ve been really struggling with canceling events in the UK. Many of these are due to adverse weather conditions, some due to logistical difficulties created by restrictions on non-affiliated competitions, and others due to higher costs of hosting competitions and handling waiver insurance. Unfortunately there are very few entries. So it’s heartening to see posts like this from Bergham, the great international game in the North. And I hope that many people will participate in the recruitment of volunteers. Because Burgham is a very nice place for him to spend a day or two. A super team that looks after you very well. In addition, you can see his 156 (!!) horses and jockeys, including Away Cruising and Harry Meade, Isilott DHI and Ross Canter, Valmy Biertz and Emily King, Liberty and Glory and Tom Crisp. Powerful CCI4*-S. What are you waiting for?

holiday: It’s National Kitten Day, and it’s also National Pina Colada Day. My boyfriend asked me if I could celebrate both, but after a little thought whether I should choose one or the other, I think it’s important to follow your beliefs and priorities. If that means finding a kitten bar and going totally flat on a colada, then you do, boo.

Imagine the satisfaction you get when you own a grey, glistening horse. Let’s multiply that by 100. This is how the good folks of Wiltshire are doing a belated spring grooming on Westbury’s iconic white horse, the oldest of the county’s 13 carved hillside horses. I imagine it would. In fact, cleaning a rather fragile historic building is never an easy task (just as it’s never easy to clean poop stains from a ticklish gray. In the barn they always seem to tickle) but they have a very well thought out process that requires a special kind of pressure washer, a divided cleaning area and an 8 week turnaround time. To be honest, you’d fantasize about the sheer joy of making it white again with a pressure wash. [Here’s how operation Show-Ready Whites is going]

It’s worth sharing this photo just for this truly adorable and insane final photo. When dressage jockey and breeder Carla Clothe foaled her beloved mare Regalie Blonde, she did everything right. It was all routine visits, all ultrasounds, all checks to make sure she and her foal were doing well. come. But regardless, everyone definitely got a big old surprise when Blondie popped out not one, but two healthy babies. Of course, twin foals are rare and unlikely to be healthy enough to survive, so the trio immediately received round-the-clock care to ensure they thrive in unexpected circumstances. became. They are doing very well now. Click here to check out the photos of this tiny little sweetie. [Go on, treat yourself]

To improve educational standards across Canada, the Canadian Equestrian Association is bringing in strong talent. As of July 1st, we have introduced a temporary fee for unlicensed coaches. He has to pay $100 for each show he directs. The fees collected will be used to strengthen the coaching program and EC hopes that all coaches will participate, become licensed and help improve the state of riding education across Canada.
