Montgomery Whitewater is introducing a fresh way for guests to enjoy the thrill of their course, starting July 4th with the launch of Whitewater Tube as part of the “Red, White, Tube, Tube” celebration.

This new adventure merges the relaxed vibe of floating with the excitement and challenges of whitewater rafting. Unlike typical river tubing, it quickly incorporates rapid currents and underwater obstacles, all against the engineered backdrop of Montgomery Whitewater.

“This isn’t just a lazy river,” explained Jason Wilson, the executive director at Montgomery Whitewater. “Whitewater Tubes provide a completely different way to feel the power of the course. You don’t need any prior experience—just bring your adventurous spirit.”

There are two options for guests: a high-strength, fast experience that utilizes the full flow of whitewater channels, and a more welcoming, albeit still active ride in low-flow whitewater tubes. Either way, participants will navigate by hand while seated in specially designed, inflatable tubes certified for whitewater use.

Here are some key details about this new offering:

• Single Ride Pass: Riders can get additional same-day rides for $25 for a 90-minute session, with each additional ride priced at $10 (availability may vary).

• Day Pass Access: The tube experience is also part of the Montgomery Whitewater Day Pass, which allows guests to book multiple rides throughout their day.

• Safety Gear: Participants will be provided with helmets, personal flotation devices (PFDs), and whitewater-certified tubes.

• Age requirements: Guests must be at least 8 years old; those aged 8 to 11 will need an adult with them on the water.

• Capacity: Each trip can accommodate up to 25 crafts (including tubes and Ducky).

• Privately owned tubes: Tubes that are whitewater certified are allowed, although conveyor belts are not. Riders must have tubes suitable for use in the water.

Montgomery Whitewater highlights that this new offering provides an enjoyable and budget-friendly way to dive into the realm of whitewater activities, promising a vibrant and interactive experience.

The Whitewater Ducky is also now available for the same single ride price, allowing guests even more options for water fun.
