Veteran educator and administrator Kelly Mooney has received another endorsement in her candidacy for the District 3 School Board of the Alabama State Board of Education. This time, it received approval from the Eagle Forum national PAC.
“The Eagle Forum is proud to endorse Kelly Mooney for the District 3 seat on the Alabama State Board of Education,” said National Eagle Forum President Chris Ullman. “We are confident that she will advocate for the interests of families, students, and teachers across District 3, and that her extensive experience and passion for fostering a high-quality education system will serve the district well. I know it will benefit me.”
Mooney said her primary goal is to build and foster strong partnerships between parents, educators and the community to improve education within District 3.
“I want to represent the families and children of District 3, and I am proud that Eagle Forum will support my candidacy,” Mooney said. “The education of our children is of the utmost importance.
“Like Eagle Forum, I strongly believe that parents should have the strongest voice when it comes to their children's education.”
Mooney worked at Briarwood Christian School in Birmingham for 15 years as a member of the school's leadership team, director of admissions, and educator.
The Republican primary election is March 5th.
