Yuma, Arizona (KYMA, KECY-TV) – The current storm system is having impacts and weather changes across the region.
From this system, rain and snow affect all of California, and for those of us here in the southwestern desert, we’re seeing wind and temperature drops.
Winds will be felt throughout the region tonight, with light to gale conditions.
Take a look at tonight’s upcoming gusts below.

Stronger winds are expected in western Imperial County, with wind bulletins issued until 3 a.m. Thursday for 25-35 MPH westerly winds with gusts up to 50 MPH.
Please take extra care when traveling, especially at night, as dust can be scattered about.

This current weather system will keep the temperatures low for this time of year and tomorrow will be the coolest.
Temperatures are expected to return to near the seasonal average by early next week.

Flood warning extended through 5:00 p.m. Sunday, May 7. This is because the water from the Painted Rock Dam continues to flow through Yuma County and down the Gila River.
