Lancesky was arrested in Salem on March 4th without incident and made his first appearance in federal court before a US magistrate judge on March 5th. He was ordered to wait for further court cases and be taken into custody.
A DOJ press release states, “Criminal charges are merely criminal charges and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.”
“The swarm of violent attacks on Tesla’s property is nothing but domestic terrorism,” Bondy said in a statement. “The Department of Justice has already kept that in mind for multiple perpetrators, including cases involving a five-year, mandatory minimum sentence.”
“We will continue our investigation into those involved in these attacks, including those operating behind the scenes to coordinate and fund these crimes,” Bondy said.
