New Facility Planned in Chambers County
The Chambers County Development Bureau has announced that MR6 Technical Services, which focuses on roll forming and repairing sheet metal machines, is set to establish a facility at Huguley Industrial Park.
This project, involving a $1.5 million investment, is expected to generate 15 to 20 jobs in the rural Chambers County area, with more opportunities likely as the company expands over time.
“MR6 is excited to start this new chapter in Chambers County,” stated Michael Larich, the owner of MR6 Tech Services. “This move represents our ongoing growth and operational expansion. Looking ahead, we aim to collaborate, live, and invest in the Chambers County community.”
With nearly 20 years in operation, MR6 Tech plans to construct a 20,000-square-foot facility in the industrial park, marking its first physical presence. Construction is set to commence in October, aiming for completion by January 2026.
“We’re confident that MR6 will be a perfect fit for our community and will play a vital role in fostering economic growth in the coming years,” remarked Chris Busby, Executive Director of the Chambers County Development Bureau.
Larich mentioned that the decision to select the Chambers County location was influenced by its strategic positioning near Interstate 85 and a supportive local atmosphere.
“We view this move as a significant step in our goal to grow strategically while upholding the family values that define MR6,” he expressed. “We’re eager to build strong partnerships and contribute to the economic development of our new home.”
Brenda Tack, Rural Development Manager for the Alabama Department of Commerce, highlighted that the MR6 project showcases the potential for business investments and long-term success within rural Alabama communities.
“We anticipate MR6 Tech Services establishing its roots in Huguley, which underscores the types of opportunities present in rural Alabama,” she noted. “It’s a testament to what can be achieved when the right company finds the right place to flourish.”
